We will implement measures to prevent bridge collapse based on the Road Bridge Design Guidelines, including the design of expanded footing and lateral displacement restraints!
This system implements bridge collapse prevention measures based on the "Road Bridge Design Guidelines and Commentary V Seismic Design" with reference to the "Case Studies of Seismic Reinforcement Methods for Existing Bridges." Support conditions can be selected from "rubber bearings," "fixed bearings," and "movable bearings," and the plan shape can be chosen from "straight bridge," "skew bridge," and "curved bridge." In the bridge axis direction, it can be designed with a bridge collapse prevention wall, and in the perpendicular direction, it can be designed as a lateral displacement restraint structure. 【Function Details (Excerpt)】 ■ Current Status Survey of Footing Widening - Check whether the "girder bearing length" of the existing substructure is satisfied. - Support conditions can be selected from "rubber bearings," "fixed bearings," and "movable bearings." - The plan shape can be chosen from "straight bridge," "skew bridge," and "curved bridge." - The presence or absence of bridge collapse prevention structures can be selected. - It is possible to calculate the horizontal load capacity PLG of the abutment. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

【Other Function Details (Excerpt)】 ■ Design of Footing Widening - Widening can be done using RC or steel brackets. ■ Design of Anti-Fall Walls - The anti-fall wall can be designed in the bridge axis direction, and a lateral displacement restraint structure can be designed in the perpendicular direction. - The shape of the substructure can be selected from "pier" or "abutment." - Stress checks and durability checks are possible. - It can be chosen whether to consider the burden on concrete against shear forces or not. 【Applicable Standards and References】 ■ "Road Bridge Design Guidelines, Commentary IV: Substructure Edition," March 2012 (Japan Road Association) ■ "Road Bridge Design Guidelines, Commentary V: Seismic Design Edition," March 2012 (Japan Road Association) ■ "Case Studies of Seismic Reinforcement Methods for Existing Bridges," April 2005 (Marine Bridge and Bridge Research Association) *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.
