Main tree species: Hinoki, Radiata Pine, Falcata *Production is possible in laminated wood, edge-glued panels (width-glued panels), and solid boards depending on the desired size. ■Hinoki It is the most beloved domestic wood in Japan due to its excellent workability, unique fragrance, and beautiful luster. It is also becoming increasingly popular for DIY and educational materials. Currently, Hinoki that was planted after the war has grown and is reaching a suitable time for use as lumber. ■Radiata Pine This wood is easy to work with, reasonably priced, and has a good finish, making it user-friendly. Additionally, it is planted in large quantities in New Zealand and Chile, ensuring stable supply. ■Falcata Its most significant feature is that it is light and soft, making it very easy to process and handle. It is valued for its lightweight nature, even if it is somewhat larger in size, as long as it is not used for applications requiring strength and durability. Its lightweight properties and bright white appearance are very similar to Paulownia, making it often used as a substitute. It is mainly planted in Southeast Asia, grows very quickly, and can be harvested in a 7-8 year cycle, which allows it to be distributed at a low cost.
