【Design Conditions】 This design involves the design of the soundproof wall itself, and the following design conditions are stated. Loads - Types of Loads In designing the soundproof wall, the following loads are considered: (a) Dead Load (b) Wind Load (c) Earth Pressure (Note) Collision loads and similar are generally not considered. - Dead Load The unit mass of the materials used to calculate the dead load is as per Table-1. However, for materials with a clearly defined actual mass, that value will be used. - Wind Load The wind load is considered as a horizontal load acting in the transverse direction of the soundproof wall, and its magnitude is as follows: Bridge Section………………………2.0 kN/m² Earthworks Section………………………1.5 kN/m² - Earth Pressure Earth pressure is calculated using the Coulomb formula.
