The SSG02 series is a USB 3.1 Gen 2 (10Gbps) optical hybrid cable. It is also compatible with USB 2.0 and 1.1.
The SSG02 series is a USB (Type C-C) optical hybrid extension cable that adopts the USB 3.1 Gen 2 standard. It is also backward compatible with USB 3.1 Gen 1, USB 2.0, and 1.1. The transfer speed is 10 Gbps, and this high-speed transfer can be extended up to 15 meters. However, if the connected device is of a lower standard, communication will occur at the speed of the connected device. The extension source (host side) has a USB Type-C male connector, and the extension destination (device side) also has a Type-C male connector. With a diameter of 4.5 mm, it is resistant to bending and tangling, making it easy to handle. The SSG02 series extends USB devices that operate on "self-power." For example, for self-powered external storage devices like HDDs and SSDs, connecting them directly to the SSG02 series allows them to fully utilize their transfer speeds. For bus-powered external storage devices that do not have an external power source, using a self-powered USB hub with an external power source enables the functionality of USB 3.1 Gen 2 capabilities.
