"Toa Metal Urethane CW/CW-ST" is a one-component baked urethane resin paint that possesses ultra-weather resistance, reaching the highest class in the industry, comparable to fluororesin coatings.
There is a growing demand for long-term aesthetic maintenance, and attention is being drawn to Huls hybrid-type urethane resin coatings, which offer superior weather resistance compared to conventional baked acrylic resin paints. For needs where costs cannot be allocated to highly weather-resistant fluororesin coatings, we provide a one-component baked urethane resin paint that offers satisfactory weather resistance. In response to market demands, we launched the low-temperature curing type (140°C × 20 minutes baking) "Toa Metal Urethane CW-ST" in January 2021. - With industry-leading weather resistance (SWOM 5000hr GR over 80%), it approaches the performance of fluororesin coatings while offering excellent cost performance. - This Huls hybrid-type urethane resin paint incorporates HALS (light stabilizers) to prevent degradation from ultraviolet rays and low-hygroscopic monomers to minimize the impact of moisture, which causes film degradation. - It can be painted using our epoxy resin-based primer in a wet-on-wet application. - It is less prone to running and sagging, providing good workability for spraying and electrostatic painting. - By adopting low-temperature blocking isocyanates, Toa Metal Urethane CW-ST can be cured at 140°C for 20 minutes, reducing furnace energy costs.
