[Delivery Center & Warehouse Floor] ◎ Surface Reinforcement ◎ Concrete ◎ Case Studies ◎ Seal Hard
LATICRETE International
The floor of the distribution center and warehouse was constructed using the "Seal Hard Standard Specification." This is the basic, standard specification of Seal Hard. We have compiled examples of this specification, which has been loved for 26 years.
In 2019, we constructed a new floor for a distribution center and warehouse. The client, a manufacturer of household appliances, adopted the "Seal Hard Standard Specification." The client's request was for a floor that offered "wear resistance, dustproofing, and the ability to withstand forklifts." They previously used painted floors in green at their own factory. In this logistics warehouse project, the goal was to improve efficiency. They shifted from manual stacking to a more automated system using forklifts and pallets. Seal Hard demonstrates effective solutions for this type of application. The Seal Hard Standard Specification provides dustproofing, wear resistance, prevention of tire marks, and reduced maintenance. It exhibits sufficient capabilities in these areas. When advancing mechanization and aiming for cost reduction, the specifications of the floor become a crucial factor. A floor with the strength to withstand forklifts and a flat surface that robots won't trip on is necessary. I believe the reason Seal Hard has been well-received is that it fits well with warehouses and logistics centers that have mechanized and automated due to changes in the times. There is no doubt that this trend will continue in the future. Please consider Seal Hard, the optimal solution for concrete floors.

basic information
Seal Hard is a colorless, odorless, and environmentally friendly concrete surface hardener that is non-polluting. It is a colorless and transparent liquid primarily composed of sodium silicate, which penetrates the surface of the concrete after application and generates a glass-like substance through a chemical reaction with the concrete components. This chemical reaction continues over time with regular water washing for moisture replenishment. Concrete reinforced with Seal Hard becomes more beautiful and glossy with use and regular washing, without becoming slippery even when shiny. Seal Hard is widely adopted in logistics warehouses and factories. It has numerous applications in public and private properties, including beauty salons, boutiques, supermarket sales areas, and home centers. We also have other construction examples listed on Ipros, which we encourage you to check. Application can be done from 14 days after concrete placement. Additionally, maintenance remains easy and, due to polishing, results in a strong floor that is even more resistant to dirt.

Detailed information
-
[Before Construction] Before construction, there was laitance on the concrete surface, giving it a matte impression. When touching the floor with your hand at this time, your hand becomes completely white. It is a fragile part that can be removed with just a light rub.
-
【Before Construction】 Bird droppings commonly seen at large sites. The main contractor also pays attention to bird intrusions, but such things can happen. We always make an effort to remove them as much as possible during the polishing cleaning process.
-
【Water Washing】 In large-scale sites where there are time constraints, two polishers may be used simultaneously. Just washing with water can effectively remove laitance and leave a clean finish.
-
Seal Hard When it comes to large-scale projects, there are piles of materials. While many domestic surface hardeners come in one-gallon cans, Seal Hard stands out with its impressive yellow can.
-
【Seal Hard Application】 We will thoroughly apply it even at large sites. At this site, we also used a sprayer for the application. I will include a photo of that below.
-
【Residue Removal】 After applying the seal hardener, the residue was removed. After performing residue removal with a polisher and vacuum, water wiping with a mop was also done.
-
【Seal Hard Coating - Brush Finish Surface】 The sloped areas with a brush finish are applied using a sprayer. If applied with a mop, the mop fibers will remain, so a sprayer is best. It has been thoroughly penetrated.
