We will introduce a rational joint method for precast PC floor slabs that omits the reinforcement in the joint area.
The "ELSS Joint" is a completely new floor slab jointing method that solves the challenges of loop joints without compromising safety, durability, drivability, or cost-effectiveness, by joining with only softer filling materials than the concrete of the floor slab itself. By utilizing the unique structural characteristics of the floor slab, which is continuously supported in the direction of vehicle travel by steel girders and earthquake-resistant wall parapets, this method features the incorporation of low-stiffness filling joints at intervals along the direction of vehicle travel, transforming the floor slab structure into an anisotropic slab with differing stiffness in the direction of vehicle travel and width. **Features** - Joins using only filling materials that are softer than the concrete of the floor slab itself. - Solves the challenges of loop joints without compromising safety, durability, drivability, or cost-effectiveness. - Transforms the floor slab structure into an anisotropic slab with differing stiffness in the direction of vehicle travel and width. - Reduces the bending moment in the direction of vehicle travel, which has lower stiffness. - Significantly simplifies the joint structure. *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.*

In April 2008, Kyokuto Kogyo Co., Ltd. and Kowa Concrete Co., Ltd. merged to take a new step forward as "Kyokuto Kowa Co., Ltd." Building on the trust we have received from our customers over the years, the various technologies cultivated by our predecessors, and the daily efforts of each of our employees, we aim to utilize the prestressed concrete technology that both companies excel in to create social infrastructure such as bridges, railways, marine structures, disaster prevention, and water supply and sewage systems that satisfy our customers. To create structures of even higher quality, we will strive for harmony between technology, people, and nature, continuously working towards the realization of further dreams and contributing to society and the community.
