A repair method that can fundamentally suppress alkali-silica reaction (ASR)!
By pressurizing and injecting lithium nitrite into the entire concrete member, it is possible to non-expand the alkali-silica gel, which is the cause of ASR, fundamentally suppressing further deterioration. This method is also effective for structures that cannot tolerate re-deterioration due to moisture supply. 【Construction Procedure】 1. Seal the surface of the member with polymer cement mortar. 2. Drill holes of φ20mm at intervals of 750mm in the concrete structure. 3. Inject lithium nitrite into the entire member using a pressurization device (injection duration: approximately 20 to 30 days). 4. Fill all injection holes with non-shrink grout material. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

basic information
**Overview** ■ Method for calculating the design injection amount of lithium nitrite - The design injection amount of lithium nitrite can be quantitatively set according to the total alkali content in the concrete. ■ Follow-up investigation after construction 1. Through monitoring, it has been confirmed that no re-deterioration has occurred in all structures. 2. Through accelerated curing tests (JCI-DD2 method, Canadian method), it has been confirmed that no re-deterioration has occurred in all structures. ■ Safety of lithium nitrite 1. A 40% aqueous solution of lithium nitrite does not fall under the category of toxic or hazardous substances. 2. Lithium nitrite is not listed in the authoritative "List of Hazardous and Harmful Substances." 3. Lithium nitrite is not listed in the authoritative "List of Carcinogenic Substances." *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.*

In April 2008, Kyokuto Kogyo Co., Ltd. and Kowa Concrete Co., Ltd. merged to take a new step forward as "Kyokuto Kowa Co., Ltd." Building on the trust we have received from our customers over the years, the various technologies cultivated by our predecessors, and the daily efforts of each of our employees, we aim to utilize the prestressed concrete technology that both companies excel in to create social infrastructure such as bridges, railways, marine structures, disaster prevention, and water supply and sewage systems that satisfy our customers. To create structures of even higher quality, we will strive for harmony between technology, people, and nature, continuously working towards the realization of further dreams and contributing to society and the community.
