Architectural parts that enhance the completeness of space down to the finest details.
Due to attention to detail, the space comes together beautifully. This is why products that shape architectural details, such as elevator handrails, stretchers, and inspection pits for ceiling spaces—referred to as "Archiparts"—are all purposeful and fulfill their functions while embodying a universal beauty that enhances the significance of the space. Furthermore, by seamlessly integrating the comfort and joy of users with contemporary necessities, such as AED cases and disinfectant holders, the concept of artware is realized subtly yet surely. Union was founded in 1958. In the post-war social climate, we have boldly advanced our manufacturing while actively absorbing architectural and design information from Europe and America. We take pride in being the first to incorporate innovative colors and materials such as glass into a product field that had previously been dominated by a single metallic color. By responding to architects' orders while honing our own sensibilities, the number of door handle items has now expanded to over 2,000. However, our craftsmanship remains unchanged. While evoking the needs of the times, we believe that only the "real" backed by the refinement of materials, design, and technology will remain in history. And while receiving the influence of Western modern design, we aim to restart the concept of design, which has become confused through various historical phases, as a group of Arts & Crafts called Union that conveys Japan's ancient aesthetic sense and the warmth of the craftsman. Our concept of "ARTWARE" embodies that mission and vision.
