Reduce RC walls to the limit and improve the flexibility of the layout.
The Space Wall method improves the flexibility of floor plans, which is a disadvantage of wall-type concrete, by minimizing the use of RC walls, allowing for large open spaces. It is a high seismic resistance, high durability, and low-cost wall-type reinforced concrete structure. The RC walls are reduced to the bare minimum, and the remaining RC walls are designed to be thicker. Furthermore, to minimize the use of RC walls, fire-resistant partition walls are actively employed. Verification results have shown that fire-resistant partition walls can reduce weight, are lower in cost than RC walls, and have equal or better sound insulation performance. This allows for flexibility in floor plans while keeping costs lower than a frame structure in large open spaces.

basic information
Background of the Development of the Space Wall Method Wall structures are strong structures that withstand external forces such as earthquakes and typhoons as a six-sided entity. In past major earthquakes, there have been no examples of wall structures collapsing or suffering significant damage. - They are more expensive compared to wooden structures. - It is difficult to create large open spaces, there is low flexibility in floor plans, and renovations are challenging. For these reasons, we feel that the proportion of wall structures being chosen is low. Our goal is to promote highly earthquake-resistant buildings in Japan. We developed the Space Wall Method with the belief that if we can reduce construction costs and improve flexibility in floor plans, the proportion of wall structures being chosen will increase.

As a structural design firm, we pride ourselves on having one of the top three numbers of structural engineers in Japan. We are one of the few structural design firms nationwide that possesses super high-rise and seismic isolation technologies. Our track record has already exceeded 10,000 projects, and we are continuously developing our proprietary construction method, the "Structural Frame Optimization Series," while working to promote zero-cost, high-seismic-resistance buildings.
