The pipeline buoyancy prevention measures involve injecting a chemical solution (hardener) into the soil surrounding existing underground pipes to prevent the buoyancy of these pipes caused by liquefaction during an earthquake. Our company has established a grout injection design method that demonstrates high effectiveness with minimal construction through various experiments, including model tests and vibration tests, in collaboration with the Agricultural Research Organization's Rural Engineering Research Department. 【Applications】 ● Prevention of buoyancy of buried pipes due to ground liquefaction during earthquakes. ● Liquefaction countermeasures at construction sites where excavation is difficult. 【Features】 ● Construction can be performed without excavation. ● The range of ground improvement is minimized. ● By injecting the material at a low discharge rate (2-6 liters/min), it can be reliably permeated into the backfill soil surrounding the buried pipes. ● The spacing between the improved bodies is sufficient to adequately relieve the pore water pressure acting on the improved bodies and buried pipes. ● Using long-lasting injection materials ensures high quality is maintained for at least a decade.
