Sakura Structure has developed the "High Wall Method," which enables the construction of wall-type reinforced concrete buildings up to 8 stories (wall-type 8 stories). Due to legal revisions and the establishment of design guidelines, the design of wall-type reinforced concrete buildings up to 8 stories has become possible through general reviews of "confirmation applications" and "compliance assessments." However, widespread adoption has not progressed due to the need for complex analyses. Nevertheless, Sakura Structure has conducted extensive research and has obtained the first confirmation certificate in Japan for an 8-story wall-type reinforced concrete building. The feature of the "High Wall Method" lies in its high seismic resistance, which has been found to have approximately 1.7 times the calculated bearing capacity compared to the same plan of RC frame construction. Additionally, while maintaining high seismic resistance, it excels in cost performance, achieving a 16.7% reduction in structural construction costs compared to an 8-story RC building.
