"New Silicon 21R II" is a high-grade, versatile silicone resin-based paint that enhances the weather resistance and color retention performance of the industry-leading "New Silicon 21R," which is well-regarded for its high weather resistance. It improves drying performance at low temperatures and strengthens radical suppression technology and HALS (Hindered Amine Light Stabilizers). The improvement in drying performance at low temperatures expands the suitable painting environment, leading to increased convenience for our customers. *Hardening time (10°C): New Silicon 21R 24 hours, New Silicon 21R II 16 hours (8 hours shorter). The suppression of radical generation, which is a factor in film deterioration, along with enhanced weather resistance and color retention due to HALS, will meet the trust of our clients. **What are radicals?** When viewed at the molecular level, the paint film has paired electrons in twos. When strong energy such as ultraviolet light or heat is applied, cracks in the chemical bonds occur, generating radicals that have only one electron. Radicals are extremely unstable and highly reactive molecular species that, once generated, react in a chain reaction, leading to the deterioration of the paint film. Incidentally, the cause of the ozone hole is due to chlorine atom radicals.
