The "Hybrid Silica Series" is a groundbreaking suspension-type permanent grout developed as a result of long-term durability research on liquid injection conducted through industry-academia collaboration since 1981, excelling in strength and durability. Over 30 years of permanent performance verification studies and large-scale field injection tests combined with injection methods have been conducted to demonstrate permeability and long-term solidification properties, and the results were recognized, receiving the Technical Development Award from the Japanese Geotechnical Society in 2002 for "Permanent Grout and Injection Technology" (Yonekura, Shimada). This brought a qualitative shift to the field of liquid injection methods, which had primarily focused on temporary construction, expanding its application to permanent construction purposes. Long-term durability verification tests have continued, and in 2018, the long-term solidification properties were confirmed after 19 years following large-scale field tests. 【Feature 1】 - It is an ultra-fine particle composite silica grout, classified as an inorganic suspension-type grout. - A wide range of gel times can be set, from rapid-setting formulations to warm-setting formulations. - The gel maintains strength over the long term and has minimal volume change, making it excellent in long-term durability. - Hybrid silica consists of ultra-fine suspended silica with an average particle size of 3.5 μm and solution-type silica, making it suitable for permeation injection into sand layers. - Seawater can be used as mixing water. By adding insights gained from years of collaborative research between industry and academia, as well as numerous construction achievements, we provide a higher level of reliable quality to contractors and stakeholders. **Safety** The materials used are composed of inorganic substances and comply with the "Interim Guidelines for Construction Work Related to Chemical Injection (Ministry of Construction: July 10, 1974)," containing no highly toxic substances, hazardous materials, or heavy metals. There are also no issues related to BOD and COD concerning the surrounding ground and groundwater.
