Introducing a case of developing a disaster-resistant snow melting system connected to an independent power supply!
Our company is developing snow damage countermeasure products using surface heating elements. In light of the difficulties faced by disaster victims in keeping warm during the Great East Japan Earthquake, we decided to work on developing a system that can easily secure thermal energy even in emergencies. The developed system warms the surface heating element to around 20°C to facilitate snow melting. While the surface heating element has the advantages of quick startup and the ability to be cut to any size, it cannot generate heat without electricity. To address this, we developed a system that combines commercial power sources with batteries and an independent solar power generation system, allowing for power generation even during outages.
