It is a silicone-based damping material called CIPD (Cured-In-Place-Damper) that hardens under UV irradiation from a liquid state.
By optimally designing the softness and damping characteristics (such as loss coefficient (tanδ)), it demonstrates tremendous effectiveness in vibration control for ultra-precision devices. Features ● A wide range of adjustments for damping characteristics (such as loss coefficient (tanδ)) is possible. ● Due to its low temperature dependence, it exhibits stable performance over a wide temperature range. ● Being UV-curable, it hardens in a short period of time, with almost no shrinkage during curing. ● There is a wealth of adoption records as damping material for optical pickups.

It is used mainly as a damping material for optical pickups in manufacturing applications. A special UV-curable gel is supplied in its uncured state (liquid form). *Regarding handling instructions: - A dispenser and a curing light source are required to use this product. - It cures to a stable hardness at 100–300 mW/cm² for 20–30 seconds. - Working in areas with ambient light or under fluorescent lights may cause the curing of this product to progress.
