Flodex provides a simple method to solve problems caused by fluctuations in the flowability of powders. Powdered raw materials can vary significantly between different suppliers and lots. This variability affects the ability of the powder to flow freely when loaded into manufacturing equipment, compromising the speed and accuracy of the manufacturing process. Intrinsic flowability measurement is based on the ability of the powder to pass freely through the holes of a disk. Flodex comes with a full set of disks with different hole sizes used to determine this flowability index, fully compliant with USP <1174>.
