Introducing methods to remove stubborn stains from marble! Case study from the embassy.
Here is a case study of stain removal and re-polishing of marble at an embassy. It appears that firewood, which was likely quite hot (or even burning), was left directly on the marble, resulting in discoloration of the marble's main component, calcium carbonate, as evidenced by the stains found in front of the fireplace.
