Introducing a case study of the Tibbo-Pi entry and exit management system for managing 30,000 people at an outdoor venue.
We would like to introduce a case study of the industrial quality IoT edge and gateway device "Tibbo-Pi." The "Entry and Exit Management System" was implemented at the 23rd World Scout Jamboree with the aim of ensuring the safety of participants and improving the efficiency of event operations. Non-contact IC cards were distributed to staff and participants, and information was collected at gates in each area and at meal tents using a "3G_RFID reader." By utilizing IoT, smooth management of participant check-ins, which were expected to be heavily congested, was achieved, and it was also used at the airport for boarding confirmation for those who participated from overseas after the event.
