The "ST Pad" is a strip-type rubber bearing for bridges, reinforced with hard rubber in the middle of elastic rubber to suppress the bulging of rubber due to vertical forces. It possesses the basic functions required at the bearing section of a bridge (load transfer function and displacement following function) and is used in short-span concrete bridges with minimal expansion, such as pre-tensioned slab girders.
