Rail surface cleaning device "IKA Brush"

A rail surface cleaning device that can clean the top surface and head side of the rail with a single brush!

The "IKA Brush" is a device installed on the rear bogie of maintenance vehicles (such as BR) that cleans mud and dust from the rail surface using a rotating brush. By tilting the brush, it can clean two areas—the top surface and the side surface of the rail—using a single brush. The special brush allows for the supply of cleaning water to the brush tip, enabling concentrated washing of the rail surface. Additionally, by using air blow from behind the brush to blow away the cleaning water, it prevents the reattachment of dirt.
