[Case Study] Measures to Address Kitchen Exhaust Odor in a Yakiniku Restaurant
Ceramic deodorizing filter for kitchen exhaust - ZeoGaia
Powerful deodorization of the strong smell of grilled meat containing a large amount of burnt odor! ZeoGaia is perfect for counteracting the exhaust smell of barbecue restaurants!
When considering measures to address kitchen exhaust odors in a yakiniku restaurant, Kalmor will implement solutions using the ceramic deodorizing filter "Zeogaiya." 【Characteristics of Yakiniku Restaurant Odors】 ● Contains a large amount of oil mist in the exhaust ● Primarily consists of the burnt smell of meat and sauce ● High odor concentration (stronger than in other types of restaurants) ● Large exhaust air volume (significant impact due to the high amount of emitted odors) ● Prone to complaints from nearby residents Zeogaiya is an optimal solution for addressing the odors in yakiniku restaurants, as it exhibits high deodorizing effectiveness against burnt smells, which are typically challenging for common adsorbents like activated carbon. Additionally, by repeating adsorption and desorption, it can be used maintenance-free for an extended period, reducing the burden on staff and keeping maintenance costs low.

basic information
At Calmore, we handle a ceramic filter called "Zeogaia" that deodorizes kitchen exhaust odors. 【Deodorization Mechanism】 A casing unit, referred to as a box, is installed between the exhaust duct after the range hood, and the Zeogaia filter is placed inside it. By installing multiple stages of filters according to the required deodorization efficiency, we achieve high-efficiency deodorization when the grilled meat odor passes through the filter. 【Deodorization Principle】 Odor molecules enter the countless pores on the surface of the Zeogaia filter, resulting in adsorption deodorization. There is a 'sustained release effect' where the adsorbed odors are gradually released at the right timing when the odor intensity decreases, which helps prolong the life of the filter. 【Main Features】 - The filter size is 300mm square with a thickness of 60mm, designed as a thin filter. - The casing unit that holds the filter is also designed to be compact. - It can accommodate air speeds of up to 3.0 m/sec. - Maintenance is required only once every three years, making the maintenance costs low. (Note: The frequency of maintenance may vary depending on the strength of the odors and operating hours.)
