Wire rope damper High damping, heat and cold resistance, chemical resistance: Enidine
Enidine Corporation
Operating temperature range: -100℃ to +260℃. Solving vibrations that could not be eliminated with rubber through three-dimensional movement! Excellent durability as well.
- It has a large damping force. Think of it as combining the functions of a spring and a shock absorber, like in a car's suspension. - It is capable of shock absorption and vibration isolation in three axes (X, Y, Z). It protects machinery from impacts by utilizing large deformations. It can accommodate weights ranging from a few hundred grams to several tons, and various installation methods are possible. - It is not limited by the usage environment. It has excellent environmental resistance and chemical resistance, and is also used in clean rooms. It is corrosion-resistant and demonstrates high performance in various applications, remaining environmentally stable. It is completely unaffected by oil, chemicals, abrasives, ozone, and extreme temperatures.

Detailed information
-
Crimp model (WR2-WR8) The joining of wire and aluminum bars is processed with a uniform and reliable crimping method (patented recessed hole type) that cannot be achieved with a screw method, contributing significantly to aesthetics and lightweight design unique to compact models.
-
Clamp model (WR12-WR40) For large models, we have adopted a clamp model to securely and reliably fix thick wires and aluminum bars, allowing them to withstand greater impacts and heavy objects.
-
Product Characteristics The spring constant of the wire rope damper is nonlinear, which means that the load vs. deflection is also nonlinear. Therefore, the spring constant during vibration is denoted as Kv, and the spring constant during impact is denoted as Ks, and they are described accordingly. The damping coefficient is approximately 5-15%, but it varies depending on input conditions. The amount of wire protrusion when a load is applied is as shown in the image.

Usage Examples In addition to images, it is used for various purposes. Examples of Use Equipment and materials for earthquake countermeasures (targeting frequencies and vibrations amplified by earthquakes) Precision instruments mounted on cranes Packaging cases, trunks Pumps, generators, compressors Aerospace electronic installations Military-related devices Electronic devices/navigational equipment on ships Chemical equipment Control panels Pipe suspension in nuclear power plants Equipment protection within nuclear power plants
