SA (Saturable Absorber) is a structure formed by creating a saturated absorption layer on a semi-insulating GaAs wafer.
■Both sides of the SA are coated with anti-reflective (AR) coating to match the wavelength of the laser. ■The SA is a nonlinear absorber, and the transmittance increases with the increase in pulse energy. ■The typical saturation fluence of the SA is higher than that of the SAM. ■When the relaxation time is less than 100 ps, the SA returns to the ground state.
