Lightweight fill: Lightweight glass foam material S2 for reinforced earth wall backfill.
Lightweight glass foam material S2
Construction Example: Reinforced Soil Wall Construction for the Japan Sea Tohoku Expressway. Ideal for reducing earth pressure on reinforced soil walls of highways.
Lightweight glass foam material is a porous lightweight foamed material made from recycled waste glass, used in lightweight embankment construction. In the civil engineering and construction fields, its lightweight properties help reduce settlement in embankments and road leveling on soft ground, decrease wall pressure behind retaining walls, and lessen the load on underground structures. It can also be utilized as a mixed lightweight soil using excavated soil generated on-site. There are numerous delivery records, primarily in public works projects by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism and various prefectural governments, including highways and private sector projects. Since the lightweight glass foam material is made from waste glass bottles, it does not leach harmful substances, complies with soil environmental standards, and contributes to a recycling-oriented society. The lightweight glass foam material is an Eco Mark product (17 131 006). - Features ○ For civil engineering, it is a gravel-like porous body with sizes ranging from 2 to 75 mm ○ Easy construction using standard heavy machinery for compaction ○ Excellent drainage even during compaction ○ Lightweight and easy to handle, with no preparation curing period, allowing for shortened construction time ○ High flexibility at the construction site, making it possible to work even with distorted terrain or buried pipes. Suitable for large projects as well ○ Can be combined with other lightweight materials ○ Eco Mark product (17 131 006) For more details, please contact us or download the catalog to view.
