At Maruo Farm in Hyogo Prefecture, "CoolBIM" was introduced and installed in September 2014. The conventional mist cooling system dealt with the elevated body temperature of cows by wetting and cooling them. However, this caused the cow bedding to become wet, raising concerns about mastitis due to bacterial growth. After the full-scale operation of this system, it was able to cool the cows and bedding without wetting them, resulting in a temperature drop of 6°C inside the barn even during hot summer days, significantly contributing to the reduction of heat stress in cows.
