It is an optical rain gauge. It detects particles passing through the sensor. The response is very quick, allowing for immediate control during precipitation.
The rain sensor monitors a 5x5 cm area using an optical detection device to detect the presence of precipitation such as drizzle, rain, snow, and hail. It is equipped with a heater, making it usable in cold regions. Additionally, there are no contact points with rain or snow, so there is no concern about deterioration. However, it cannot determine between rain and snow.
