The 'Never-Going-Out Machida-kun' is a safe and reliable lighting system that remains brightly lit even during disasters and power outages. It has been collaboratively developed with the Machida City municipality to create a disaster-resistant community where residents can live with peace of mind, allowing for safe and secure evacuation and movement even during major disasters, with streetlights that do not go out during power outages. (Matches with national resilience, longevity of park facilities, and contributions to a decarbonized society, etc.) The 'Never-Going-Out Machida-kun' can be installed within existing lighting poles and can be shared with utility poles, eliminating the need for new installations or replacements of lighting poles. This enables a reduction in construction time and costs. Additionally, by converting existing fixtures to LED, electricity consumption, electricity costs, and CO2 emissions can be reduced. It is equipped with a dimming function, allowing for a lighting duration of up to 24 hours (with nighttime lighting lasting up to about 3 days) based on brightness. This product was developed in collaboration with Tokyo Machida City and won the 7th Collaborative Community Development Grand Prix at the Municipal Comprehensive Fair 2015.
