Flooring made from clean-looking pine from the East Coast of Canada, with circular saw marks on about 50% of it.
Reclaimed wood flooring is made from beams sourced from buildings that are over 100 years old, sorted by wood species. The wood is split into boards and processed today, with a planer applied to the surface along the length. It is uncoated, allowing customers to finish it to their liking. The characteristics of reclaimed wood, such as insect damage, nail holes, and cracks, are features that new wood flooring does not have. Of course, it is 100% solid (natural wood). 【Features】 ○ Flooring made from clean pine sourced from the East Coast of Canada, with circular saw marks on about 50% of the boards. ○ Also ideal for wall panels. The reclaimed wood (vintage wood) that we handle has been carefully extracted from buildings and barns that have stood for over 100 years in the harsh climate of Canada, sorted, cleaned, and transported all the way to Japan. The wood used in those buildings has survived in the tough environment of old-growth forests, and these are select timbers that are now rare to find. The overwhelming presence that only those that have withstood the elements possess cannot be artificially recreated; it provides a sense of "warmth" and "history" that evokes coexistence with nature, truly embodying what vintage wood is.
