This is a rectangular cross-section water channel for ditches that enables a reduction in the height of drainage pipes.

The "Kukei Waterway" was developed for side ditches such as box tunnels. The roads established underground are divided into the space for vehicle passage and the lower surface where road drainage side ditches are installed. The most significant factor in determining the depth of the lower surface when planning underground structures like tunnels is the height of the road drainage structures.
