This is a high-quality wood modification treatment that combines a modification treatment technology that deposits glassy substances in the cell walls of wood, called "Mikokoro," which is composed of multiple silicate compounds, to protect and strengthen the wood cells, with surface coating using liquid glass. Wood injected with a glassy substance known as colloidal glass becomes hydrophobic as the hydroxyl groups in the wood bond with the good components in the water and the glassy substance. As a result, it becomes modified wood that excels in anti-decay, anti-termite properties, and dimensional stability. - By penetrating a multi-dispersed colloidal glass solution into wood, spherical colloidal glass is formed in the cell layers of the wood (near the S2 layer), binding with the hydroxyl groups of cellulose, which modifies the components of the cell wall, making it water-resistant. - By elevating the hydroxyl groups (based on the same theory as acetylation), the wood itself becomes hydrophobic, resulting in excellent paintability. - Furthermore, by applying liquid glass treatment to the surface, it prevents discoloration of the wood for over 10 years (*in vertical conditions).
