Cross-cut testing is possible on curved surfaces such as resin coatings, door mirror covers, pipe-shaped coatings, cylinders, brake pad printing, and camera lenses.
The cross-cut test (grid test) for evaluating the adhesion and bonding strength of coatings can now be performed on curved surfaces in actual products. Until now, it was not possible to make evenly spaced cuts on curved surfaces, preventing the execution of cross-cut tests. By using a spring-type cross-cut tester, cross-cut tests can be conducted on actual products rather than just on pipes or test pieces, leading to improvements in quality. Of course, it can also be used on flat panels.
