Not only does it measure flow velocity like conventional flow meters, but it can also automatically calculate instantaneous flow based on measured flow velocities at several points and water depth data. The flow calculation is compatible with rivers, canals, circular pipes (including 2/3 egg-shaped), and rectangular channels (including square, rectangular, and trapezoidal shapes). By using an optional water depth sensor, water levels and the depth at measurement points can be measured more easily and reliably.
