It features three light sensors tailored to human eye sensitivity and operates on a three-stimulus value type, measuring color in a way that closely resembles visual perception, using an 8/d (8-degree directional illumination/diffuse light reception method, with specular reflection light removal). This device was developed following the chlorophyll meter as part of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries' Soil & Plant Analyzer Development project, which is implemented by the Agricultural Industry Promotion Foundation, the Agricultural Research Center of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, the Agricultural Environmental Technology Research Institute, and various prefectural research institutions, under the guidance of their respective experts.
