When the eye receives light, it is divided into red, green, and blue components and transmitted to the brain, where colors are recognized.
The "tristimulus values XYZ" are psychophysical quantities of the CIE color space method, which recognizes color through three components as established by international standards (CIE/ISO). For example, the green color of a blackboard is represented numerically as having a red component of 5.5, a green component of 7.0, and a blue component of 7.2 compared to an ideal white. In other words, colors are expressed as three-dimensional coordinate values in XYZ. 【Method of Quantifying Color】 ■ The reflected light from an object is spectrally analyzed to measure the spectral reflectance for each wavelength, and using the calculation methods specified by the standards, it is computed into the tristimulus values XYZ for output. ■ Through colorimetric calculations, the colors represented by light at each wavelength can be expressed as three values (three-dimensional coordinates). *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
