The HD-1004 is a real-time personal dust monitor with a built-in microprocessor-controlled air sampling pump. It can store vast amounts of data and can also calculate measurement values on the screen. The non-fixed sensor is miniaturized, allowing it to be easily attached to a collar to measure the breathing zone. The sensor's value is further enhanced by using an optional OSHA-defined breathing zone and chest area dust exchange sampling head. The inline 37mm filter cassette allows users to collect simultaneous filters based on air samples that match the weight measurement method after the optical sensor. This unique built-in high-performance microprocessor mathematically corrects for differences in the size of fine particulate matter. The HD-1004 provides a comprehensive graph of time vs. dust concentration, enabling investigators to more accurately clarify and analyze exposure to harmful fine particulate matter in the workplace using advanced technology. Traditional pump/filter weight measurement alone cannot provide a real-time profile of dust accumulation, but the addition of a miniaturized optical dust sensor allows for a more dynamic assessment that was previously unattainable.
