Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism Notice "Specific Ceiling" Correspondence 【Seismic Ceiling Substructure Materials】
This is the "OS Sealing" reinforcement measure for ceiling materials to prevent damage from falling during a major earthquake. We have newly introduced a grade that can be considered even for "specific ceilings" through a method that improves the ceiling surface load capacity using assist bars. [Updated 2021/07/01] A catalog for the semi-structured ceiling substrate series "OS Sealing SS Type" has been added. - OJ type (Type 19) up to approximately 20 kg/m² - ND type (Type 25) up to approximately 35 kg/m² For details, please check the catalog page. The catalog also includes a data collection related to evaluation tests based on the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism's technical standards explanation.

basic information
In light of the reported ceiling collapse damage from several past earthquakes, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism has issued technical advice on measures such as "installation of bracing" and "ensuring clearance." Based on these, measures to prevent ceiling collapse in large spaces have been promoted. However, during the Great East Japan Earthquake on March 11, 2011, and its aftershocks, ceilings in numerous buildings such as gymnasiums and large halls fell, resulting in unprecedented levels of human and material damage. OS Ceiling is a series of ceiling substrate materials developed based on the "Notification on the Structural Safety Methods for Specific Ceilings and Specific Ceilings (Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism Notification No. 771 of 2013)" that was implemented in consideration of these damages.

Okju's work involves creating spaces through the construction of ceilings, walls, and more. As a pioneer in lightweight steel frames, Okju has been involved in the production and construction of both interior and exterior finishes for numerous buildings across the country, regardless of their fame or obscurity, including the National Diet Building, government offices, historical buildings, airports, stations, hotels, banks, department stores, hospitals, corporate buildings, gymnasiums, halls, and large complex buildings. The underlying common philosophy is the creation of "comfortable living spaces" that prioritize safety and the environment, with a desire to create spaces where people, the environment, and nature harmoniously coexist, and to contribute to society through the development of safe communities. Supporting this is the solid technology and development capabilities backed by a history and tradition since its founding in 1922, which has earned great trust from various sectors of the construction industry, including major general contractors and design offices. Okju aims to be a dignified comprehensive interior and exterior company that provides quality, safety, and peace of mind, continuing to uphold the corporate motto of "trust first" as a "pioneer in dream space creation," while maintaining a strong spirit of challenge and ongoing technological development.
