The high-temperature power-controlled heating cable "VPL Series" is a power-controlled heating cable designed for heat tracing of industrial piping and equipment. VPL can be used for freeze prevention, high output requirements, or process temperature maintenance exposed to high temperatures of 235°C. Additionally, it can withstand high temperatures up to 260°C during routine steam purging or when the power is turned off. The power-controlled heating cable is a parallel heating cable with a coiled alloy resistance heating element wrapped around two parallel wires. The conductor and connection spacing become the heating zone length. This parallel structure allows for cutting to length on-site and terminal processing. VPL reduces output as temperature increases, allowing for overlap. The relatively flat output curve achieves low startup current and high output at high temperatures. Our company is an engineering firm specializing in electric heaters. We started by handling Raychem self-regulating heaters for preventing water pipe freezing.
