The NCP anchor method involves screwing the male thread part of the NCP bolt into the female thread provided on the head plate of precast concrete piles (PHC piles and PRC piles), and then attaching an NCP coupler, which has a non-threaded section on its inner surface, to the male thread part and tightening it. This creates an extension of the male thread directly above the joint with the female thread, while also applying axial force to the joint by tensioning it.
