The wooden shelves along the approach to the national treasure Horyu-ji Temple have been made from ironwood.
We manufactured the wooden shelves for the approach to the national treasure Hōryū-ji using ironwood. The wooden shelves were made using a pattern assembly method, and there were few right angles at the joints, with slight angles present. Processing this with chisels and other tools is a very challenging task for carpenters. Since we were able to provide an alternative processing method, we were approached by the design teacher, and the production was carried out by our company.
