By using aluminum honeycomb panels, we achieved significant weight reduction while maintaining equivalent rigidity and allowable deflection, resulting in a cost reduction of about 20%. We also passed repeated durability tests under a load of 10 tons per square meter in a vacuum, and these panels are now being used in actual manufacturing lines. ■Cost Reduction Thanks to the effect of reduced material costs through weight reduction, cost savings that were not achievable with conventional solid wood, welded structures, and castings are now possible. ■Lightweight and Rigidity With approximately 90% of the panel volume being air, significant weight reduction is possible, while maintaining high rigidity with a hexagonal honeycomb core. ■High Precision Orders with flatness of 0.05mm/m and parallelism of 0.05mm/m are also possible. ■Machinability Not only flat panels but also curved surfaces and rod-shaped aluminum honeycomb panels can be produced. Additionally, almost all machining processes applicable to conventional aluminum materials, such as tapping, countersinking, through holes, openings, notches, and pocket machining, can be performed. ■Custom Production We have established a production system that can accommodate everything from one-off custom orders to mass production.
