Infrastructure technology that protects lifelines - Seismic isolation joints
In 1980, Suiken developed the industry's first ductile cast iron ball-shaped flexible expansion joint, aiming to improve the safety of the most important joint parts for lifelines. The "Flexibender" has a large and flexible deformation absorption capacity in all directions, and it showed no damage during the 1989 San Francisco earthquake, the 1994 Los Angeles earthquake, and the 1995 Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake, protecting the pipeline from disconnection and damage, and demonstrating excellent "seismic isolation quality." basic information
**Main Features** - Can increase eccentricity and extension significantly → By combining a sleeve pipe with the basic structure of the ball section and double pipe, the eccentricity can be increased in 100mm increments. This allows for uniform and large performance in all directions. - Large bending angle → Each ball section can bend 15 degrees, allowing for a maximum bend of 30 degrees when bending in the same direction. - Capable of handling twisting → Even when twisting forces are applied to the piping, it can twist to relieve external forces. - Toughness and high corrosion resistance → Made of ductile cast iron, it has rigidity, and the inner surface and sliding parts of the packing are coated with epoxy resin powder, while the outer surface is coated with synthetic resin for excellent corrosion resistance. - Cross-sectional shape remains unchanged even when eccentric → Even at maximum eccentricity, there is no change in cross-sectional shape, maintaining a smooth flow. - Achieves cost reduction with ultimate simple design → Cost reduction is achieved through a rational design with a boltless and simple structure. - Improved workability with short spacing and hook holes - Maintains spacing during installation and transportation - Offers an extension-restraining type For more details, please contact us or download the catalog.

Since our establishment in 1970, we have been a manufacturer of special fittings dedicated to protecting lifelines, introducing numerous innovative products to the market. The ductile iron ball-shaped flexible expansion joint "Flexibender," released in 1980, demonstrated its seismic performance during the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake and the Great East Japan Earthquake. The EM continuous water supply method "S-Gate" series, launched in 1999, has steadily achieved results in various countries around the world, including the United States and South Korea. We are committed to product development with free thinking, unconstrained by conventional wisdom, and contributing to the safety of lifelines.
