By suppressing charging with BS-ET treatment and discharging with Cosmo Coat, the effectiveness of electrostatic damage prevention is further enhanced. Cosmo Coat adjusts the resistance value of the hard anodized coating to either the insulating or semiconducting range by introducing metal using a specially developed method. By controlling the type and amount of metal introduced, there are three variations: black, gold, and brown. The black variant also has the characteristic of not fading even in environments above 200°C, in addition to the aforementioned electrical properties.
