Plates with a thickness of 25.4t or less are finished with a flat and smooth surface using the float method. There are 15 types of plates with thicknesses ranging from 0.7t to 25.4t. They are used in various fields such as heat-resistant site glass, observation windows, various substrate glasses, optical filter substrates, and medical slide glasses. There are also tempered plates that enhance pressure resistance and thermal shock resistance by applying a strengthening treatment to Tempax. (Strengthened plates take 2-3 weeks.)
