However, as it rises, it mixes with the surrounding water and spreads horizontally at a water depth where it reaches the same temperature as the surrounding water. This phenomenon is called density flow, and it is particularly noticeable in the initial state when the device is first activated or in large lakes. Even when mixing progresses and stratification becomes less distinct, this phenomenon remains, resulting in significant convection in the mid-depth and deeper layers.
