[About the Wood-Steel Hybrid Brace]
The "Wood-Steel Hybrid Brace" is Japan's first buckling-restrained brace that uses laminated wood as the restraining material. It is a seismic-resistant component suitable for large commercial facilities and offices, creating a space that conveys the warmth of wood by using wood materials such as cypress and larch. Additionally, since wood materials are used for the restraining elements, it can reduce carbon dioxide emissions during manufacturing by up to 65% compared to traditional buckling-restrained braces made with steel structures.
