In the restoration of the world-famous Trevi Fountain in Rome, an unusual access method has been introduced. A temporary walkway has been installed on the drained fountain basin, allowing visitors to experience the Baroque cultural heritage up close. This solution combines the "PERI UP Modular Scaffolding" and "PERI UP Public Stairs," meeting high requirements for safety, load-bearing capacity, and the protection of historical buildings.
The Baroque-style Trevi Fountain, constructed by Nicola Salvi in the 18th century, is one of the world's top tourist attractions. Due to the large-scale restoration work, it was necessary to completely lower the water level of the fountain and close it. However, the city of Rome decided to install a temporary walkway within the drained fountain basin, allowing visitors to directly admire the statues and fountain architecture.
