The rebar inspection AR system "BAIAS" has been equipped with a new feature called "Arc Measurement Mode."
We are pleased to announce that starting December 15, 2025, the rebar inspection AR system "BAIAS" will introduce a new feature called "Arc Measurement Mode," which allows for the inspection of the number and spacing of rebar in arc shapes during the construction of concrete caissons and bridge piers.
As the first case of utilizing this new feature, rebar inspections using this functionality are scheduled to be conducted on the "Yamato Goshod Road Soga Viaduct (PD6) Substructure Work" (Client: Kinki Regional Development Bureau, Nara National Highway Office) being constructed by Muramoto Construction Co., Ltd.

■ Overview of the Rebar Inspection AR System "BAIAS"
BAIAS is a groundbreaking system that allows for easy rebar inspections of reinforced concrete structures to be conducted by a single person. Utilizing the LiDAR sensor and camera equipped on the iPad Pro, it accurately measures the number, diameter (thickness), and spacing of rebar. It complies with all measurement items specified in the guidelines set by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism. In April 2025, it was selected as a "Promoted Utilization Technology" by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism and boasts a track record of implementation in over 250 sites.
