Job system and lift call efficiency during reception absence: Case study of Fukami Shell Mold Industry.

Before the introduction, it seems that they were searching for lifts and supervisors, resulting in poor production efficiency. At the time of relocating the factory, they implemented the wireless Andon system, Sonnet-kun.
After the introduction, the issue of work stopping while going to call a lift for product collection was improved. Transmitters were installed to call supervisors and lifts from within the factory. A system was also set up at the reception to handle situations when the reception was unattended.
Three calling patterns:
1. Calling a supervisor when in trouble: The rotating light "red" and the receiver's "red number" are used to call the supervisor.
2. Calling a lift for finished product collection: The rotating light "green" and the receiver's "green number" are used to call the lift. In the attached tent warehouse, only the rotating light was installed. When it lights up, they return to the area and check the calling number.
3. Calling when the reception is unattended: A dedicated work desk for office staff was equipped with an A contact receiver and a rotating light. When the rotating light lights up, they return to the reception. To ensure they notice even when away from the desk, the reception number was set to 99 and displayed on the dual-sided receiver.
Due to the significant noise in the area, there was a request to rely on visual cues, but the use of the rotating light increased awareness and resolved the issue of the reception being unattended, leading to satisfaction.
