A 3D laser scanner is a high-speed measurement device that collects data at a rate of tens of thousands of points per second over a full 360° range around the machine. The laser light travels back and forth between the scanner and the object without directly touching it, calculating the distance and obtaining three-dimensional coordinate values based on the angle and distance of the emitted light.
